A Gourd Snake

I bought a really long gourd. It had a big stem sticking out of it. It looked like a snake already. In the past, I tried to carve one of these and ended up with something that took forever and looked almost nothing like a snake. This year I kept it simple. I colored the stem red to look like a tongue and put a basic diamond-back pattern on the gourd. Then, I was happy because it was easy and looked like a snake (of sorts).
